How do I purchase a firearm online? Buying guns online is both safe and easy, plus it saves you time and money. However, there are certain Federal and Local laws that must be obeyed. Please visit our Buying a Gun Online Section for more information.

How are items shipped? All Handguns ship either USPS Priority Mail or UPS Second-Day Air to your FFL. Long Guns are shipped UPS Ground to your local FFL. All Black Powder Guns and Ammunition are sent UPS Ground only. Ammunition is shipped UPS Ground. Airguns are sent either UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. We utilize a variety of shipping methods for other items.

Can I pick up my purchase in the store? Absolutely! North Carolina residents are welcome to pick up firearms, and everyone can pick up accessories in the store, during normal business hours, with proper ID and Permit. NC residents and residents of most other states are welcome to pick up rifles and shotguns in store during normal business hours with proper ID and background check. Some states (such as CA & NJ) cannot pick up firearms in our store. Check your local & state laws. Note that we charge a $12 fee on all firearms purchases picked up in the store to help offset our costs associated with the Brady Gun Control Act. Please make certain to select In-Store Pickup as your shipping method when checking out.

Do you honor online prices in your retail store? In most cases, yes. However, these prices are honored on a pay-and-carry basis and are not applicable for trade-ins or layaway in our retail store.

Do you ship to California? Yes. We ship all California legal firearms and low-capacity magazines to California. For information regarding legality of a particular firearm, please visit the California Department of Justice's web site at the This LINK. NOTE: All tactical rifles (such as AK-47s, AR-15s, etc.) are illegal for sale in California. Please check your local laws before ordering.

Do you offer layaway? To keep our prices low, we do not offer layaway.

Do you accept trade ins? We only allow trade-ins in our retail store, and due to legal restrictions we cannot accept trades from out of state.

Is a particular item in stock? Most items shown are in stock. Occasionally some items may need to be ordered our are in our off-site warehouse. We will keep you informed of the availability.

Can I special order a particular item? Since we are part of a large retail store and have the largest buying group in the country, we are glad to special order items for you. We will order items listed under "Special Order" status after we process a nominal deposit, which is applied to the total purchase price of the item.

Are you an FFL dealer? Yes, we are an FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer.

Do you charge sales tax? Sales Tax of 8.25% is required only if any one or more of the following are applicable...a. the item is picked up in the store; b. the buyer is an North Carolina resident; or c. the item is shipped to an address in NC.

What methods of payment do you accept? We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. Due to their firearms-unfriendly terms, we regret that we cannot accept PayPal. For your convenience, we also can process credit cards over the phone.

Do you export or ship overseas? We cannot export any firearm or firearm parts overseas. Most non-firearm accessories can be shipped to both the US and Canada.

Do you accept trades? We cannot accept trades that aren't brought into our retail location.

Do you have a specific item (gun, hat, bag, etc.) in stock? The majority of items we have listed for sale on this web site are in stock. We are a retail store as well as an Internet retailer, so nearly everything listed here is also for sale in the store. There is a small chance that an item may be out of stock at the time of the order, but we will immediately order a replacement and ship it to you as soon as possible. Please feel free to email or call us to verify the availability prior to purchase.

Do you have a specific gun in stock that is not listed on this site? We have more than 4,000 firearms in stock at any one time, many of which are listed on this web site. If you do not see what you are looking for, please email us and let us know so we can check for you.

Is their a warranty on my new gun? New guns have a warranty provided by the manufacturer. We also warranty the used firearms we sell and can service them in house.

What is the Return Policy on Firearms? Due to legal ramifications, we regret that cannot accept any returns on guns.

Do you require a FFL to ship a gun? Any modern cartridge firearm (made after 1898) must ship to an FFL dealer in your area. Before we can ship, we require payment and a signed copy of your local dealers FFL. Please visit our Buying a Gun Online Section for more information.

Can you ship a Black Powder gun directly to me? In most cases, yes. We require a copy of your valid driver's license or state ID showing your age and current address. We will only ship to the address on the license. This may either be mailed to us with payment, legibly faxed to 704-394-0268 or scanned and emailed to us at sales@hyattgunstore.com.

We cannot ship Cartridge Firing Antique Handguns directly to residents of to CA, CT, DC, IL, MA, MD, MI, NJ, & NY; they MUST ship to a regular FFL Dealer.  We cannot ship Cartridge Firing Antique Rifles to residents of CA, DC, IL, MA, MD, MI, & NJ; they MUST ship to a regular FFL Dealer.

Antique & Modern Black Powder (Percussion, Flintlock, Cap & Ball or 209 Primer) firearms can be shipped directly to most locations.   We will only ship Antiques & Black Powder guns to addresses in the 50 United States.  We cannot ship any Black Powder guns to the cities of: New York & Surrounding Area, Washington DC, Chicago / Oak Park, San Francisco or Los Angeles.  We cannot ship any Modern Black Powder or Antique Pistols, Rifles or Shotguns of any kind to residents of IL, MD, MI or NJ; they MUST ship to a regular FFL Dealer.

Do you accept Curio & Relic Licenses? Yes, on qualified guns we do.  If a gun is C&R eligible, it will be listed as so in the listing.  If it is not specifically listed as C&R Eligible, we cannot accept a C&R and will only ship to a regular FFL dealer. In order to ship to a Curio & Relic license holder, we require an ink signed original copy of the license AND a copy of your drivers license be mailed to us. Without both the C&R and Drivers License, we cannot ship. We cannot accept a fax of a C&R License.  Both the C&R and Driver's license information must match the name and address provided at checkout. The package will be sent Adult Signature Required, please make sure someone 21 or older will be there to sign for it.

We cannot ship C&R Handguns directly to residents of to CA, CT, DC, MA, MD, NJ, NY or PR; they MUST ship to a regular FFL Dealer.  We cannot ship C&R Long Guns (Rifles/Shotguns) to residents of CA, DC, MA, & NJ, NYC area or PR; they MUST ship to a regular FFL Dealer.

Illinois customers MUST provide Firearms Owners ID card for all C&R firearms. We cannot ship to a C&R in or around the Chicago area.

Can you ship pepper spray directly to me? In most cases, yes. There are some limitations. We regret we cannot ship pepper spray to New York, Massachusetts, Michigan and Washington, DC. In addition, Wisconsin, California and Hawaii have restrictions and regulations regarding pepper spray. This list of states where pepper sprays are restricted is for illustrative purposes only. It is not exhaustive nor is it intended to provide legal advice. Laws and regulations are subject to change. Before purchasing or using any pepper spray product, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to determine and comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws in effect at that time.

Can you ship an Airgun directly to me? In order to ship an Airgun to you, we require a copy of your valid driver's license or state ID showing your age and current address. Can you ship parts, clothing, accessories, etc... directly to me? We can ship almost all parts & accessories directly to any customer in the US or Canada. The most notable exception be high capacity magazines to prohibited in certain states and cities. Any magazine with a capacity more than 10 rounds cannot ship to California, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York or to any foreign country. We can ship all clothing and hats to the US and Canada.
