Taught by State- and NRA-Certified Instructors, The Handgun Familiarization Course will teach you the fundamentals of handgun ownership. Please note that the total cost of the class is $100.

This course, taught at Elite Training Academy's indoor range and training facility in Indian Trail, is perfect for those new to the world of shooting sports, as well as the handgun veteran! The five-hour, hands-on course includes both classroom and range time and is designed to make you into a more informed and safety conscious gun buyer and gun owner.

The course covers the following topics:

Handgun Safety and Operation
Responsibility of Handgun Ownership
Types of Handguns
Cleaning and Maintenance
Handgun Storage
Basic Marksmanship
Shooting Stance, Grip, & Dominant Eye
Loading and Unloading
Handling Misfires, Clearing Malfunctions
Trigger Pull and Control

The class will be held at Elite Training Academy in Indian Trail. For directions, please Click Here. The class starts at 1 p.m. and includes four hours of classroom time, followed an hour on the range.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $40 DEPOSIT AT CHECKOUT. A BALANCE OF $60 WILL BE DUE ON THE DAY OF THE CLASS.
