This is a vintage Argentine Remington Model 1879 rolling block carbine chambered in 43 Spanish. It features a 20.5-inch barrel that is marked on the top "MODELO ARGENTINO 1879 EN." The upper receiver tang bears the Remington & Sons patent information. Overall condition of the rifle is good. The bore has decent shine and rifling but there is some frosting, as well. The metal surfaces retain most of the arsenal-refurbished bluing with scattered areas of light pitting beneath the finish. The wood is in nice restored shape, however there is a hairline crack on the left side of the buttstock. This would make a nice addition to any military surplus rifle collection. Buy online today!
