This is an original WW2 Canadian Enfield Long Branch training rifle. It features a wood stock with metal parts, it is marked "LONG BRANCH TRAINING RIFLE 1944" on the receiver. The stock is very badly cracked around the grip area and the bolt is missing the cocking piece. These training rifles were built to have approximately the same weight as the actual Enfield No.4 Mk1 and fitted with a safety butt plate.
