The Super Precision Mark 5 Scope Mount is designed for compatibility with Leupold Mark 5 optics. It is optimized for use with longer SR-25/AR-10–pattern upper receivers. The mount utilizes a traditional nut-and-bolt clamping system to securely attach to the upper receiver, providing approximately 1,400 pounds of clamping force. This design offers increased holding strength compared to typical lever-based mounting systems. Earlier versions of Super Precision mounts used serialized caps; however, testing has shown that caps can be interchanged between base towers without affecting precision or return-to-zero. The current design maintains performance and reliability while allowing easier service and replacement.
