This is a WW2-era Gustloff Werke K98 rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser. It features a 24-inch barrel, 5-round capacity, claw extractor, tangent rear sight, bayonet lug, and steel buttplate. Overall, this Mauser is in good condition with normal age-related wear on the barrel, bolt, and stock. Bore condition is good with strong rifling. The receiver ring has a BCD manufacture code and a 43 date, indicating that this rifle was manufactured by Gustloff Werke in 1943. The serial numbers are mismatched and the barrel is import marked.
