This rifle comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Stembridge Gun Rentals, Inc that states this rifle was used in the classic television Westerns "Gunsmoke", "Bonanza", and "High Chaparral". The rifle is marked on the receiver "RKO S314" which indicates is was owned by Stembridge. The serial number indicates it was originally manufactured in 1918. Overall condition is fair. Mechanically everything works as it should, but most of the bluing is gone and the wood has many dings, scuffs, scratches, and pressure marks. The bore still has rifling, but it is very worn and frosted with some light pitting. This would be a great addition for anyone who collects Winchesters, movie prop guns, or vintage Western cinema memorabilia. Buy online today!
