This is a vintage Yugoslavian Zastava M48 Mauser rifle chambered in 8x57. It features a 23.25-inch barrel, blued finish and wood stock, the top of the receiver bears the Yugoslavian crest with "M48" under it. The left side of the receiver is marked marked in Cyrillic "Предприятие 44" (Preduzece 44) which indicates Zastava Works manufacture. It is also marked "ФНРЈ" which is code for "Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia". This is a standard M48 (Pre-A) and would place it's manufacture between 1950 and 1952. Overall condition is good, showing typical military surplus wear with decently shiny bore and strong rifling. All numbers appear to be matching. The barrel is import marked on the barrel by CAI.
