French WW2 M26 Adrian Helmet - Vintage Helmet

This is is an original WW2 French M26 Adrian helmet. It features olive green painted steel construction with leather liner and chin strap, the front bears the grenade "RF" badge indicating it was issued to infantry. The M26 helmet continued in use with the French Army until after World War II, and was also used by the French police up to the 1970s. A painting by John Lavery shows a portrait of Winston Churchill wearing an Adrian helmet presented by General Fayolle. Overall condition of the helmet is good, there is wear, scuffs and scratches to the finish along with some patina, the leather chin strap has dried out quite a bit and has some cracks.
