This is a German WW2 Gustloff-Werke (bcd) K98k Mauser chambered in 8x57. All visible numbers match except for the bolt and magazine floorplate. This gun is most likely a Russian capture rifle, fortunately kept mostly original. The date on the receiver indicates the rifle was manufactured in 1943. Overall condition is good with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. it is import marked on the barrel by CAI. The Waffenamts on the barrel and receiver have been defaced but there are other parts on the rifle which still have them. This would be a great addition to any WW2 firearm collection!
