Smith & Wesson Model 1913 35 S&W Pistol - Collectible Handgun

This is a Smith & Wesson Model 1913 pistol chambered in 35 S&W. It features a 3.5-inch barrel, hinged barrel assembly for easy cleanin,g and a very light bolt with a mainspring disconnector, so the slide could be cycled without fighting a heavy recoil spring. This was Smith & Wesson's very first semi-automatic handgun and used a proprietary .35 S&W cartridge with a magazine that hold seven rounds. Overall condition is fair. The bore is frosted with some light pitting and slightly worn rifling. Roughly 70% of the original bluing remains with patina and areas of light pitting and minor surface rust. The wood grips are homemade with carved Laurel leaf design around an "L" on one side and "W" on the other. Despite its condition, this is still a rare piece of Smith & Wesson history.
